FAQ
How to measure a horse rug?
Use a tape measure to measure in centimeters (cm) from the center of the withers to the base of the tail, following the horse's back. This number is your blanket size.
Some brands indicate the rug size as CHEST/TAIL: in this case, measure from the center of the chest to the center back thigh.
How to choose the right horse blanket?
Choosing the right blanket depends on several factors: the season, the outside temperature, whether the horse is clipped or not, and whether it lives in the paddock or in a stable.
In general: 0–100 g for mid-season or for unclipped horses; 150–250 g: for winter when temperatures are moderate; 300 g and above: for winter when temperatures are very cold or for clipped horses.
What is the difference between a turnout rug and a stable rug for horses?
Turnout rugs are waterproof and durable, designed for outdoor use. Stable rugs are not waterproof and are generally more breathable than turnout rugs, making them more suitable for horses kept in the stable.
What does the “Denier” (D) value mean in horse blankets?
The D value (Denier) indicates the strength of the outer fabric.  For example 600D good durability, 1200D or higher very strong fabric, ideal for horses kept in the paddock
